One can spend potentially large amount of time trying to make a new driver work, or one can instead just revert to the working config that was already deployed. Lol wut? Sorry, but driver updating on Windows is (still!) prone to breakage and there is nowt wrong with the process of create restore point, upgrade, test, restore if tests fail.
